The YSL RICO trial is moving forward following Young Thug’s co-defendant Polo being convicted of murder.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported that rapper Polo, whose real name is Cordarius Dorsey, was convicted in the January 2020 shooting of Xavier Turner outside a College Park, Atlanta barbershop, which was caught on camera. Prosecutors argued the shooting was gang-motivated and that Dorsey sought to boost his status as a member of the Bloods. He’s already serving a life sentence for his involvement in another murder case from 2019. No word on the exact sentence for the on-camera 2020 shooting, but prosecutors are expecting another life sentence.
Videos of Polo circulated the internet of him acting strange in court, from head movements to flaring his arms. His behavior led to him being removed from the rest of the YSL RICO defendants.
Now that Polo has been found guilty of murder, the YSL RICO trial can move forward. The group was hit with 56 crimes, leading to 28 arrests, including Young Thug, Gunna, and other affiliates.
Jury selection for the YSL RICO case was paused while Polo’s murder case was handled. The trial is currently in the discovery phase and is expected to resume soon, but there is no word on exactly just yet.

Maraich The Scientist, continues to support and hold her man, Young Thug, down while incarcerated.
“There is nobody on planet Earth that can get in between me and supporting my man,” the R&B star said in an interview with Access ATL.
Young Thug managed to drop a 17-track album earlier this year while behind bars. Business Is Business came with features from Drake, Future, 21 Savage and more. The project became one of the biggest-selling rap albums in 2023, debuting No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
