As their case continues, YNW Bortlen legal issues just intensified.

As more details emerge, Bortlen’s Miami home was reportedly raided before his recent arrest on Monday, Oct. 2. His girlfriend, Neak Baby revealed that some of their personal items were seized.

“The police took my phones, my laptop, my bill notebook, and my headscarf. Probably more I just aint realize cause I’m still picking sh*t up from them kicking my door in and ransacking my place,” she shared.

She also revealed that two Playstations, and one of Bortlen’s chains were also removed from their home.

Bortlen, born Cortlen Henry, was transferred to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Downtown Miami by police after being caught on an out-of-county warrant on Monday, Oct. 2 at 10:22 PM according to Law & Crime reporter Bryson “Boom” Paul.

At the moment, the 24-year-old is charged with two first-degree murders and two counts of accessory after the fact. Investigators think Henry helped Melly (born Jamell Demons) cover up the deaths of their friends Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams and Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas.

According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, authorities identified Henry was the one who drove Williams and Thomas’ lifeless bodies to a local hospital and assisted that the two slain men were victims of a drive-by shooting.

In contrast to his co defendant Demons, Henry was granted bail in 2021 under the terms he wear an ankle monitor and he must refrain from getting in touch with witnesses.

On Monday, October 2, Henry was scheduled to start his own trial; however, a judge chose to postpone it until January 12, 2024.

As for the “Murder On My Mind” rapper, his long-awaited trial ended in a mistrial after jurors spent days deliberating, however, they couldn’t come to a unanimous verdict.

While he remains in custody, Melly awaits for a retrial which is scheduled to start on Oct. 9.
