It seems that MAGA got him locked up!
The controversial mug shot of the former President Trump has been portrayed depicted in a brand-new mural on the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail.
The mural was painted by well-known local muralist Chris Veal. The controversial mural can be seen close to the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark.
“M.A.G.A My A** got arrested,” the mural reads, as it depicts Trump’s infamous scowling facial expression.
Veal, who also goes by “Caveal,” is well known for his pop art and frequently produces artwork that stimulates societal change.
Trump and 18 of his fellow colleagues were charged on Monday, Aug. 14, as part of a massive indictment from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
In order to rig the 2020 presidential election, the indictment claims that the former president and his Republican associates set up phony electors in seven crucial states, including Georgia.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Veal estimated that it took him three hours to complete the new mural, which has received positive responses from the public. He shared that people have laughed, and given him high-fives.
When asked what he thinks others will think about the mural, he responded that not only does he want the public to enjoy it but also hopes it encourages them to cast a ballot when elections start.
However, misinformation began to spread online as Trump supporters believed that the mural was a tribute to the disgraced former president.
Turning Point USA’s founder, Charlie Kirk, posted a 9-second clip of Veal’s unfinished work and said, “Trump’s mugshot mural in Atlanta. The blowback continues.”
Others began to join in and spread further misinformation, as they believed the mural was a tribute piece for Trump.
One person commented, “Icon. Living legend. They just made the most famous man in the world a bigger legend than he already was.”
Another Trump supporter implied, “This should trigger Fani pack.”
Jesse Watters, a Fox News anchor, used a similar clip on Monday, Aug. 28, as he began to praise the unfinished mural.
“The mugshot’s up on the side of buildings in the inner city,” Watters began his praising speech. “The 2016 phenomenon’s happening all over again. Trump won the election because of a laser-light focus on the forgotten man. The bond was formed back then that could never be broken.”
Veal fired back at the Trump supporters who used the footage to portray the mural as a tribute to the 45th president.
