During a rally in Windham, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump accused Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis of having a relationship with a YSL “gang” member.
According to Rolling Stone, it’s unclear what Trump meant when he accused Willis of having an affair with a “gang member.” Recent social media posts indicate that he is dramatically distorting a case she handled in 2019.
“They say there’s a young woman — a young racist in Atlanta — they say she was after a certain gang and she ended up having an affair with the head of the gang or a gang member,” Trump said. “And this is a person who wants to indict me […] wants to indict me for a perfect phone call,” he said.
The piece includes an interview with Mondo, the alleged YSL member who claims that Willis acted “differently” than she appeared in public while serving as his defense attorney in 2019. Her office is prosecuting YSL in a case alleging that the group is a criminal gang.
Mondo informed the outlet that the two had a “cool relationship” at the time.
“She’s almost like, not really street, but she understands what goes on, bro. She understands life to a certain degree. She ain’t trying to take all these little Black dudes down. She ain’t that type of woman, man. I’m telling you, she’s not,” he said.
According to the magazine, there is no hint or evidence that Willis had a romantic relationship with Mondo, who recalled “mother-to-son type of talks with her.”
Willis, who is married with two children, is anticipated to indict Trump soon for illegally attempting to undo Joe Biden’s victory in the state, which opened the way for him to become President.
The former President, who has been indicted three times, has a lengthy history of making outlandish false accusations about his opponents.
According to Newsweek, Trump referred to his former Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, as “as dumb as a rock,” and his former Defense Secretary, James Mattis, as “the world’s most overrated general.”
He’s recently started criticizing fellow Republican presidential nominee – and erstwhile friend – Chris Christie about his weight.
