Trippie Redd Clowned For How He Spoke On Rappers With Low Album Sales

Trippie Redd might have to backtrack his way of thinking when it comes to album sales.

In a resurfaced video, the “Dark Knight Dummo” rapper pokes fun at other artists for having low album sales. However, to his surprise, he would be one of those artists with relatively low album sales, and people online had no problem reminding him of his words.

“C-list rappers, n*gga we bout to create an avengers of trash n*ggas,” he said in the clip. “If we all put our 30,000 first week together, n*gga we gone make a million.”

The irony of all this comes as Redd’s latest effort, “A Love Letter To You 5, managed to sell around 30,000 album-equivalent units in its first week of being released. It’s the final installment of his “A Love Letter to You” series and features a guest appearance by Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, Bryson Tiller, and more.

Internet users were quick to share their opinion on how Trippie Redd laughed at other rappers and now he’s eating his words.

“Ain’t nothing passing the internet in today’s time. They gone make you eat whatever sh*t you was talking,” wrote one commenter.

“Not tryna d ride but every rapper gets bad sales at some point,” another person shared about the rapper’s sales.

The Ohio native also dropped “MANSION MUSIK” back in January, which sold around 56,000 album-equivalent units.
