Travis Scott lost his phone, and it can no longer be used as evidence in the Astroworld lawsuits!
Travis Scott lost his phone after he dropped it in the Gulf of Mexico ocean, according his lawyer. The phone was considered evidence in the lawsuits launched against him.
“Travis Scott and his team have nothing to hide and are cooperating with all ongoing civil legal proceedings,” Scott’s attorney, Ted Anastasiou wrote. “His actions during and after the festival demonstrate that he has done nothing wrong, as does the fact that he and his team were cleared following the investigation by the Houston Police Department.”
Scott was requested to attend a legal deposition in Texas in connection to the multiple lawsuits filed regarding the fatal festival on Sept. 19. He was questioned for eight hours.
Scott was requested to hand over his phone so it could be reviewed for any pertinent information/evidence. But he lost his phone two years prior while on a boat.
According to XXL, Scott’s legal team had previously shot down the request because it was “seeking confidential and/or sensitive information.”
Although he faces several lawsuits, the Houston Police Department declared that Scott was cleared of criminal charges back in June.
“We are gratified that the grand jury has cleared Travis of criminal wrongdoing,” Anastasiou said. “We have maintained his innocence since day one and are relieved that he is now no longer under the threat of criminal prosecution.”
However, on Aug. 10, he had a similarly eerie occurrence happen during his Rome performance when he brought out special guest, Kanye West.
Ye’s surprise appearance resulted in fans going wild and led to 60 fans reportedly injured.
