The rising Bay Area star joins the long list of rappers that claim Eminem isn’t the G.O.A.T. of rap.
Symba had the internet chatting after a recent clip of his appearance on a REVOLT WORLD panel that took place over this past weekend, where he made the bold claims that he’s a better lyricist than Eminem.
“I respect Eminem on a level as a man,” he said.“But as a rapper, I feel like I can name five better rappers.”
The rising rapper gave the rap veteran his flowers and shared his opinions on Eminem’s outstanding discography. However, Eminem’s “fire” discography wasn’t good enough for Symba to consider him as the G.O.A.T. After Tierra Whack, who was also featured on the panel, asked him if he honestly thought he was a better rapper than Eminem, Symba bluntly declared that he was.
“Yes,” the 24-year-old said. “Anybody can rhyme words, [but] what are you saying?”
Symba claimed that Eminem’s rap style is more prominent than what he’s actually spitting. Symba isn’t the first rapper to criticize the Detroit rapper’s G.O.A.T. status.
The rising star’s comments angered Eminem fans, as they tweeted that they had to “look him up” and even tweeted “R.I.P. Symba.”
The Game also made such claims during his appearance on Drink Champs last year. He also challenged Eminem to a VERZUZ.
“Eminem, Eminem is Eminem,’ the Compton rapper said. “I like Eminem. He’s one of the ******* good emcees, great emcees. I used to think Eminem was better than me.”
“He not,” The Game spat. “He not. He’s not. Aye, challenge it.”
The Game has a long history of openly dissing Eminem throughout his career. He took shots at Eminem on his Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind single “Black Slim Shady.”
However, after he caught wind of the diss, Eminem responded with a recent single.
“All the envious rappers I’d torch if I’m on a joint with ’em/ And that is the only retort is I’m not played in the clubs, muthafucka put a cork in it/ Only reason they still play your shit in the clubs is ’cause you still perform in ’em,” Em fired back on “The Realest,” a song with his Shady Records artist EZ Mil.
