RICO Charges Dropped Against YSL Polo

One of Young Thug’s co-defendants has been removed from the case. Cordarius Dorsey was previously charged with a homicide, serving a life sentence without parole. Prosecutors tried to prosecute him with different charges in the YSL RICO case. His attorney, Chadha Jimenez, explained that trying him was a waste of time and money.

In 2019, Dorsey was found guilty of shooting 39-year-old Sulaiman Jalloh and was serving a life sentence for the killing. In 2020, he was tried again for the killing of Xavier Turner outside of a barbershop. Video evidence of the killing of Xavier surfaced online, and YSL Polo was found guilty of the crime in 2023. This means that YSL Polo was facing two murder charges before the RICO case took place.

“I’m a little disappointed that it took the state nine months to realize this is a major waste of taxpayer dollars, Mr. Dorsey should have never been part of this. He was already serving a life sentence without parole.” his attorney explained.

Young Thugs attorney Brian Steel requested that YSL Polo be removed from the case, stating that his antics would harm the case. YSL Polo has been making unique and unusual hand movements during the trial.

“Jeffery Williams, by and through undersigned counsel, hereby files this motion to sever parties in the above-referenced case,” he said. “Mr. Dorsey, a co-indictee, has displayed unprofessional and unacceptable conduct in Court, in the presence of this Honorable Court, as announced on the Record on Thursday, August 31, 2023.” his motion read.

Now there are only seven defendants left in the RICO case, when it started off with almost 30 defendants including Gunna.
