It looks like 10 Savannah rapper’s legal woes took an unexpected turn.
Quando Rondo, born Tyquian Bowman, was reportedly arrested “without incident” by the Federal Bureau of Investigations on federal drug charges on Dec. 8.
According to WJCJ, the 24-year-old rapper was stopped at Burroughs Street and 37th Street on Friday night at approximately midnight while riding as a passenger in a vehicle.
He was the only person at the scene to be arrested and taken into custody.
Following his arrest, the “ABG” rapper is expected to appear in court next week, according to Billboard.
Quando faces charges of participating in a plot to acquire, possess, and distribute illegal narcotics such as cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
Unnamed co-conspirators are charged in the 20-page document with 14 different criminal crimes, including drug conspiracy, drug distribution, firearms possession, and robbery.
Quando is accused of participating in a drug trafficking conspiracy with two named co-defendants, Ty’sean Davis, 21, also known as “Stro.” Donald Davis, 19, also known as “Lil D.” According to the allegations, the alleged action started “at least as early as Jan. 1, 2021, up to and including the return date of this Indictment.”
Bowman is being imprisoned in a Brunswick, New Jersey, federal facility.
This isn’t Quando Rondo’s first run-in with law enforcement for drug charges or in general.
During Father’s Day weekend, the 24-year-old rapper was arrested and charged with two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, one count of participating in criminal activity affiliated with a street gang, and one count of illegal use of a cell phone to facilitate a drug deal.
The Associated Press revealed that Quando Rondo was charged with being an alleged manager of the Rollin’ 60s Crips street gang, and he was then accused of plotting with others to purchase hydrocodone pills and distribute marijuana.
Shortly after being arrested, Quando Rondo was released on a $100,000 bond, according to the news outlet.
Months later, Quando Rondo faced yet another legal hurdle after prosecutors filed a motion to have the Savannah native banned from his hometown after he was deemed a “target of violence,” according to TMZ.
“The defendant shall not enter the confines of Chatham County without permission of the court except for court appearances, meetings with defense counsel, and medical treatment,” the bond modification request read.
