Tomanuel Benson, Blac Youngsta’s younger brother, was shot and killed at a gas station in South Memphis. Memphis Police (MPD) have identified the suspect behind the fatal shooting.
When identifying a man named Randy Ewing as the primary suspect in the homicide case, the Memphis Police Department released an earlier mugshot of him.
In the early hours of Friday, Aug. 18, Benson was killed in a shooting at a gas station in Memphis, and authorities swiftly identified him.
According to Fox 13 Memphis, the Memphis Police Department also put out a request for assistance in locating the suspect shortly after, since they thought he fled the scene in a car. They did this by circulating a photo from security footage that shows Ewing, who they believed to be the shooter.
To ensure that they have the right person listed in the case, the primary suspect, the MPD unveiled another picture of Ewing. At first glance, this appears to correspond with the first picture they showed. However, the Memphis Police Department faced backlash from many people who disagreed with their method, because it might damage Ewing’s life if he turned out to be innocent in this case.
Authorities have still filed accusations of second-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder, despite the fact that it is still unknown whether Ewing is the person who caused this catastrophe.
Blac Youngsta posted a tribute for his younger brother, vowing that the world would pay for his murder.
“I Love U My Baby Brother Rest Up,” the rapper wrote in the tribute post. “I’m Gone Make The World Pay. I Swear To God. Nobody Safe. Standing Over Everybody. Everybody. 4LIFE.”
The Memphis native has now lost three siblings in the previous ten years as a result of gun violence. The 33-year-old rapper revealed the death of his brother Ronnie B in a Facebook post in 2016.
Then, in 2019, Urban Islandz reported that HeavyChampTD, an up-and-coming rapper who was Blac Youngsta’s older brother, was shot and killed in Miami.
