After allegedly shooting a 4-year-old child, New York rapper Naz GPG was reportedly taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 26, just before 2:30 a.m., on West 94th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, according to CBS News. The NYPD stated that the shooter opened fire as a car pulled up, hitting the toddler in the leg.
“When I got to the door right there, that’s why I heard the mother screaming,” a witness explained. “So when I came, I seen the kid right there on the floor. He had blood all over him. So then when I came out, there’s an ambulance standing right over there, so I ran to the ambulance and I told them that I heard some gunshots and there’s a kid on the floor.”

The child was transported to the hospital, where he recovered.
Another victim, a 35-year-old man, was shot in the foot during the incident. The NYPD also shared that the victims were all reported by the police to be innocent bystanders and not the intended targets.
They stated that the “WDHD” rapper was one of two suspects. After being arrested, he was charged with second-degree murder, multiple assaults, and weapons possession charges.
He has entered a not-guilty plea to each and every charge, and his bail was set to $500,000.
The Harlem-born rapper, a member of the NYC drill crew the Sweepers, had just begun to gain national attention before being taken into custody. His most recent track, “Wdhd,” has received over 232,000 streams, and he typically had approximately 130,000 monthly Spotify listeners.
Several months have passed since Nas EBK, another hot drill rapper hailing from the Bronx, was arrested and accused of killing a man in a Times Square shooting in February. He faces a second-degree murder charge.
