Following recent death rumors, former social media sensation Lil Tay was spotted in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, the former and controversial internet celebrity, Lil Tay made her reappearance this week since the recent death hoax that had social media in an uproar.
According to the publication, the former youngest flexer was seen arriving in Los Angeles’s LAX wearing a sweatshirt, mask, and sunglasses to conceal her identity. However, once the paparazzi recognized Tay, they swarmed her.
While paparazzi asked Tay several questions, she, her brother Jason, their mother and security all remained quiet.
On Aug. 11, her former manager, Harry Tsang accused her and Jason of starting the recent death rumors that had the internet in disbelief. Tsang also accused Tay and Jason of allegedly starting the rumor as a publicity stunt to reemerge into the public eye.
“Upon learning about Lil Tay’s assurance of her well-being, I find relief in the fact that she is secure. But I think the alleged hacking incident might not have happened,” Tsang said.
“It’s important to think about the possible consequences of using such tactics, particularly given their potential impact on the perceptions and sentiments of the broader audience,” he continued.
The 14-year-old and her brother were reportedly dead, according to a statement posted to the social media star’s verified Instagram page on Wednesday, August 9th, according to a now-deleted piece from TMZ.
After Meta confirmed that Tay’s Instagram account was hacked, she took to the platform and blasted her allegedly abusive father, Christpher Hope of starting the nasty hoax.
“My abusive, racist, misogynistic woman-beating father faked my death,” the post read.
Hope fired back at the “false” accusations and deemed whoever was behind the recent post will be “defendants in a defamation lawsuit.”
“The person who is responsible for that Instagram post, as well as anyone repeating the completely false and libelous accusation within it, are virtually certain to become defendants in a defamation lawsuit,” Hope said.
“Everything stated is 100% false, and I trust that this should be obvious to anyone who knows me or the long history of absurd and untrue statements made by the various people who have controlled the Instagram account,” he continued.
