Lil Baby’s Memphis show ended in tragedy after a shooting took place, leaving one person in critical condition.
During his It’s Only Us tour, Lil Baby’s set was cut short as he was escorted off the stage as a shot was fired in Memphis’ FedExForum. According to WREG, the victim, who was the late Young Dolph’s cousin, CEO Jizzle, was shot and was left in critical condition on Thursday, Sept. 7. Police now believe that he was a target of a premeditated attack.
“One adult male shooting victim was located and transported to Regional One Health in critical condition,” the Memphis Police Department said on social media. “At this time, the identity of the shooter is unknown,” police continued. “No other injuries were reported, and all have cleared the facility. Please call 901-528-CASH with any tips on this shooting.”

Police responded to the shooting, which took place at 10:23 p.m. The Memphis Police Department now believes that the incident was premeditated because out of the thousands of attendees, Jizzle was shot.
According to Billboard, FedExForum released a statement sharing that they are cooperating with the Memphis Police Department following the incident.
“A person was shot tonight at FedExForum during the Lil Baby concert. The incident is under investigation, and we are fully cooperating with the Memphis Police Department,” FedExForum said.
The venue is trying to determine how the security breach happened, as one person snuck the gun inside. The 28-year-old artist addressed the shooting on social media.
“Unfortunately, I Couldn’t Perform Last Night In Memphis, Ima Make Sure Everybody Gets A Refund, Tho,” he said in a now-deleted tweet.
Memphis native GloRilla also took to social media to share her thoughts on the situation.
“What the ****, cuz,” she exclaimed. “These folks just got they gun in the ******* arena, fool… insane.”
“yes, y’all, Memphis is ghetto as ****. We’ve been on the tour this whole ******* time, and today they wanna ******* shoot. There hasn’t been a shootout at not one of these shows,” she continued.
Following the tragedy, a video of the incident was posted online, showing a scuffle breaking out at the side of the stage during Baby’s performance, followed by a single gunshot that could be heard. Afterward, another video showing the victim being rushed out on a stretcher was uploaded.

As of Friday, CEO Jizzle was declared no longer in critical condition. He posted a video of himself in the hospital. He was reportedly shot in the belly area but is not critically injured.
