Following a recent health scare, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Krayzie Bone gives fans a health update.

On Tuesday,  Krayzie Bone posted a picture of himself in a hospital bed and shared his harrowing experience as he fought for his life.

“Just fought for life Literally for 9 days straight,” he said. “And I only won the battle this time because I know Jehovah God was with me every step of the way, fighting for me. Never take life for granted; enjoy it while you have it!”

“Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers trust me, I needed every last one of them,” he added.

According to TMZ, the 50-year-old born Anthony Henderson checked himself into a Los Angeles hospital after he began to cough up blood on Friday, Sept. 22.

Henderson was diagnosed with a disease called sarcoidosis. According to the American Lung Association, the rare inflammatory disease arises when the body’s “immune system overreacts, causing cell clusters to form ‘granulomas’ of inflamed tissue in one or more organs of the body.”

The rapper underwent surgery after doctors identified a bleeding artery in one of his lungs following some tests, according to close TMZ sources. It was also rumored that he was currently unconscious and was in ICU.

The Cleveland native experienced a health scare that caused the group to end a tour run. According to loved ones, he even quit smoking months ago.

Back in 2016, Krayzie Bone shared that he believed that he developed an “intense case of pneumonia” during the group’s Canada tour because his immune system was being suppressed by his sarcoidosis medication.

According to TMZ, His doctors believed that the intense case of pneumonia could have been deadly and prompted the group to end the tour.

Although his family wanted the public to respect their privacy during the fearful time, his manager confirmed his hospitalization.
