Kanye West Files Lawsuit Against Instagram User Who Leaked His Music

Kanye West has taken legal action against a social media poster for allegedly leaking unreleased music.

In documents obtained by Radar Online, Ye filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court for misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract to prevent further leaks from a user known as DaUnreleasedGod on Instagram and X, officially listed as “Does.”

While the suit doesn’t name a person in control of the account, The College Dropout is under the impression that someone has signed a confidentiality agreement while working with him in the past. The lawsuit will be amended pending the confirmed identities of anyone involved.

The suit alleges that Ye has “suffered significant financial losses and damages as a direct result of the Defendants’ actions.”

Starting in March and continuing through August, the account has been responsible for unveiling at least 30 tracks. Some include collaborations with Rihanna, DJ Khaled, Pusha T, DaBaby, and will.I.am. In addition to seeking an injunction to shut down any further unauthorized leaks, the GOOD Music founder demands that the defendant cover his legal expenses.

The news came hours after Venice police confirmed that Ye and his wife, Bianca Censori, are being investigated for lewd conduct after an explicit display of affection on a riverboat taxi.
