While these two are in the thick of a heated online exchange, Joe Budden shares that Drake slid in his DMs on his recent podcast episode.

As Budden and Drake continue their feud, Budden has revealed that the Canadian artist hopped in his DMs after Budden gave heavy criticism of his For All The Dogs album.

“He jumps in my DMs,” Budden said. “I ain’t lying. He jumped right in my DMs, and I’m pacing around, smoking. He DMs me with a 55-second voice note. I can’t tell you what it said cause I didn’t listen to it. You gotta speak to me with love.”

As he told the private encounter, his podcast co-host, Melyssa Ford asked if he was open to further sharing the DM by playing it out loud. However, he quickly shut down the opportunity.

“If I was one of these clout-chasing *** ****** that’s exactly what I would come in here and do,” he explained. “But I’m too thorough at my core and my soul. Protecting energy is a thing. Y’all don’t talk to me when I say favorable things any other time, don’t ******* talk to me now.”

On Friday, Oct. 6, Budden shared his thoughts on Drake’s eighth album as it was released that morning.

The Jersey native shared his gripes with the 23-track project, he questioned who the primary target audience was as he deemed that Drake was “rapping for children.”

The now podcast host even blasted Drake for hanging out with popular streamer, Kai Cenat. After Budden insinuated that Drake’s album was for children, he also insinuated that the international star hangs out with children as well.

As a result, Drake harshly blasted the New Jersey lyricist, and deemed that he was a “failure of a rapper.”

“You have failed at music,” Drake said. “You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success…a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…”

“You switched careers cause the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque and the raps you write had 450 men showing up to your shows in dusty Enyce jeans to screw up their face to Mood Muzik 29 and pretend you are the goat,” he added.

Fans and fellow rappers have weighed in on the ongoing beef. Industry figures such as Hot 97’s Ebro Darden, Azealia Banks, and KXNG Crooked have all sided with Budden and his firm opinions. While Cash Money’s CEO, Birdman sided with Drake.

Do you think Drake is dragging it at this point? Or do you think Joe Budden was hating on Drake’s career? Let us know in the comments.
