Four months after an undisclosed medical condition hospitalized Jamie Foxx, the multi-talented entertainer shared good news Wednesday evening.
Via his Instagram page, the Oscar and Grammy Award winner posted a series of photos from an undisclosed tropical location. The accompanying caption painted an optimistic picture of his recovery.
“You’re lookin at a man who is thankful…finally startin to feel like myself,” Foxx wrote. “It’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light,” he continued before thanking everyone for their well wishes.
In April, while Foxx was in Georgia to film the upcoming Back In Action, his daughter Corrine shared that he experienced a “medical complication” and was “on the road to recovery.”

After grim rumors circulated about his prognosis, the actor gave his first official update on July 22 with a video on his Instagram, explaining that his media silence was to prevent him from being “seen with tubes running through me.” He also thanked Corrine and his sister Deidra for saving his life.
