Halle Berry Disappointed In Drake, Says He Didn’t Get Her Permission To Use Her Photo

Halle Berry isn’t feeling Drake’s antics after he used a picture of her for his recent single art.

The veteran actress shared her thoughts on the Grammy-winning rapper using a picture of her for his tease collaboration with SZA. While many were intrigued when they saw the photo of the actress being slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards shared on Drake’s Instagram, Berry felt otherwise.

A fan asked Halle Berry on Instagram what she thought of Drake using that picture for his single, and the actress kept it pretty blunt. She called out the Canadian rapper for using the image without her blessing.

“Didn’t get my permission.” the Academy Award winner wrote. “That’s not cool. I thought better of him!”

She doubled down on her disappointment with the music superstar in another response.

“Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on !”

Halle Berry kept the response train going and even addressed a fan who suggested taking him to court.

“I’m not interested in suing my people,” she wrote in response to a fan. I just wish these men out here would give women the respect they deserve.”

While the actress likely does not own the image, she responded to another Instagram user emphasizing that it’s more about the principle. She also questioned the context of the slime-referenced song. Some fans aren’t sure why the uproar over the green oozed image is causing so much controversy. A social media commentator questioned why the legendary actress is so bothered.

“Cuz he asked me, and I said NO, that’s why,” she replied to the user. “Why ask if you intend to do what you want to do? That was the f**k you to me. Not cool. You get it?”

Drake’s “Slime You Out” featuring SZA is the second single for his upcoming For All The Dogs album.
