“BIG NEWS: GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas from the Grand Theft Auto Series are coming to Netflix Games for mobile on December 14,” Netflix tweeted.
According to IGN, Rockstar Games paid homage to the influential games series by releasing the same trilogy two years ago. However, fans voiced their frustrations with the trilogy as it was riddled with bugs and glitches.
According to Variety, GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas are the latest to join Netflix Games’ growing list of mobile games.
To have direct access to the three games, fans and Netflix users must download them through the Netflix app, in addition to Apple’s App Store and or Google Play, according to the publication.
Fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise and Netflix users can pre-order the games for free starting Wednesday. For those who are existing Netflix users and are interested in downloading Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy The Definitive Edition, they won’t face hidden fees, ads, and or in-app purchases.
However, according to Forbes, non-Netflix users can expect a fee of $11.99 if they download the games in the app stores.
Since its late 2021 start, Netflix Games has aimed to expand to provide free mobile games to its users gradually.
Netflix Games reportedly had over 80 mobile games, including titles like Heads Up!, Cut The Rope, and Bloons Tower Defense 6.
Rockstar Games recently shared that they will share new Grand Theft Auto 6 updates next month.
