One of the highest-paid athletes in the world is paying it forward in a big way after the tragic events in Hawaii, which began this Tuesday.
Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is helping families affected by the wildfires in Maui by providing them with food, clothing, and even offering them a place to stay. He’s also assisting in flying people to Honolulu.
Wildfires ripped through Maui, claiming the lives of at least 53 people. Many were forced to evacuate with little to nothing after their homes burned down on the Hawaiian island.
Mayweather is ensuring that 68 families are provided with hotel rooms and can get food from nearby restaurants. He confirmed this act of kindness to TMZ but emphasized that he’s not looking to garner attention for his good deed.
