Fetty Wap is doing a six-year prison bid, but recent pictures of the rapper appear to show him in good spirits.

Pictures of the “Trap Queen” rapper began circulating online in an all-blue prison uniform. You can see the New Jersey-born artist posted up with other inmates in several group pictures.

Music executive Wack 100 chimed in on the post and shared a couple of flicks to his own on his Instagram caption. Wack mentioned that he got a hold of the photos from Fetty’s team

“Looks like @fettywap1738 holding up pretty well on the federal yard.” the entertainment manager captioned. “Just got these sent to me from his team. Salute #Itchy & the #NJ rusta’s #GangGang.”

In August 2022, Fetty Wap admitted guilt to federal drug smuggling charges. Fetty’s legal team attempted to portray his infractions more sympathetically due to his financial struggles, but prosecutors pushed for a more harsher sentence.

The judge settled on a six-year sentence, which was a middle ground between the five-year mandatory minimum and the seven-year three-month sentence the prosecutors sought.

The “My Way” MC will stay in prison at least until 2028.

Fetty Wap’s music career soared with his debut single “Trap Queen” in 2015. The song reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received two Grammy nominations. His debut album, Fetty Wap, also hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums.
