Fans Think Sandra Bullock’s Oscar Should Be Stripped Away Amid ‘The Blind Side’ Drama

As the drama surrounding ‘The Blind Side’ continues, fans are coming together to petition the Academy to revoke Sandra Bullock’s Oscar. This petition follows Michael Oher’s allegation that the Tuohy family falsified his adoption.

The movie ‘The Blind Side’ is based on the true story of Michael Oher and the Tuohy family. Sandra Bullock portrayed Leigh Anne Tuohy, the mother of “adopted” Michael Oher.

Michael alleges that the family tricked him into signing a conservatorship, which he remains under to this day. Michael thought he was being adopted into the family, but learned years later that was not the case. He is now petitioning to be set free from the conservatorship.

In 2010, Sandra received an Academy Award for Best Actress in the hit movie ‘The Blind Side’. Fans of the movie are angry, not only with the family but also with the lead actress, Sandra Bullock.

Quinton Aaron, the actor who played Michael Oher, has spoken out to defend Sandra Bullock.

“Sandra Bullock didn’t have anything to do with the real story that we’re reading as of right now. She gave a brilliant performance, and that shouldn’t be tarnished for something that had nothing to do with her,” he said.

People are outraged by the alleged lies of the Tuohy family. ESPN cited a legal file from the lawsuit that Michael Oher thought he was joining the family, but was never a part of the family legally.

“The lie of Michael’s adoption is one upon which Co-Conservators Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy have enriched themselves at the expense of their Ward, the undersigned Michael Oher,” stated the legal document. “He discovered this lie to his chagrin and embarrassment in February of 2023, when he learned that the Conservatorship to which he consented on the basis that doing so would make him a member of the Tuohy family, in fact provided him no familial relationship with the Tuohy’s.”

Sandra Bullock has yet to comment on the scandal of the Oscar-winning movie ‘The Blind Side’.
