‘Euphoria’ Star Angus Cloud’s Cause Of Death Revealed

Nearly two months after his passing, the late Angus Cloud’s cause of death has been revealed.

According to TMZ, the Alameda County Coroner’s office confirmed that the 25-year-old actor died from “acute intoxication” caused by a fatal combination of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and benzodiazepines. It was concluded that the overdose was unintentional.

The outlet, which cited various law enforcement authorities engaged in the death investigation, revealed that the Euphoria actor did not leave a suicide note at the scene on Aug. 15.

Speculation of a possible suicide surfaced online after it was noted that Cloud was mourning his father, Conor Hickey’s death in May. His father was buried in Ireland a week before the actor’s death, and it was reported that he was struggling with his mental health.

However, Cloud’s mother, Lisa, confirmed that her son did not commit suicide in a lengthy Facebook post.

“Social media posts have suggested his death was intentional. I want you to know that is not the case,” she said.

“I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art projects, fell asleep and didn’t wake up,” she continued. “We may find out that he overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world.”

According to ET’s earlier coverage, Lisa contacted 911 at around 11:30 a.m. to report a “possible overdose,” claiming that her son had no pulse. As soon as the authorities arrived, Cloud was pronounced dead.

“The Oakland Police Department is investigating a death that occurred today, July 31, 2023, just after 11:30 a.m. PT,” stated the Oakland Police Department. “The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

As the tragic news was announced, Lisa shared online that Cloud’s last day was joyful despite facing losing his father.

“Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time. I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one,” she said.
