When will y’all learn to put heavy respect on Erykah Badu’s name?!
According to Hip Hop DX, DJ Akademiks ranted about the Neo-Soul legend. However, she had time to clap back at the blogger and set the social media atmosphere ablaze in the process. v
“I learned something so valuable today, fam,” the singer said on an Instagram live. “You have to really be careful what you think and what you say out here. I learned today that something I said five years ago in jest when we all laughed actually triggered someone’s really deep-rooted trauma. They kept it bottled up for a while, and it hurt them so bad, it had them out in these streets acting real p****.”
As she continued to troll the former Complex host, she introduced her new limited-edition premium Badu P—y incense. The jokes didn’t stop there; Badu decided to escalate things further as she shared the packaging of the limited-edition incense (a picture of a Jerry meme that is often used to compare Akademiks.
She also said that she is dedicating the product to him, as she called him the biggest p—y “in our culture.” Needless to say, the limited supply sold out.
According to TMZ, Ak’s rant consisted of him insulting the 52-year-old singer and criticizing her for her former connections with rappers, such as Andre 3000, The D.O.C, and Jay Electronica. The blogger continued by stating that he was still angry by Badu comparing him to Jerry from Tom & Jerry in a 2017 episode of the formerly-running Complex show, Everyday Struggle.

Ak’s initial response was in response to Tory Lanez’s 10-year prison term for the 2020 murder of Megan Thee Stallion. He also addressed allegations that he disclosed information obtained from Tory’s team during the well-known case.
In response to his comments, one internet commenter advised Erykah to “work her magic” on him. As a result, Ak became enraged.
“Erykah Badu, let me tell you this: you keep my name out your mouth too,” he exclaimed. “Listen, that little Everyday Struggle shit, that was another era, my n-gga. I’m down to violate all you n-ggas these days. **** what y’all got going on. You don’t mention my name, please. I don’t **** with you neither.”
“I never ****** with Erykah Badu after she was tryna come on my show and be funny,” he continued. “Bitch, I don’t *** with you after that. N-gga, wassup now? What we finna do? Bitch, you a old-ass hoe, just keep getting ****** by all these young n-ggas. How many rappers done ran through you?”
He ended his rant by accusing the singer of trying to have a sexual encounter with the late XXXTENTACION.
“You was trying to **** with and suck up XXXTENTACION,” he questioned.
As a response to the ordeal, fans, and industry friends quickly sided with Badu, leaving her undefeated.
