While rap fans and pundits are divided on Drake’s new album, DJ Vlad is calling out Drizzy and frequent collaborator DJ Khaled for more than immature bars. In a lengthy post on Twitter, the Russian Jewish VladTV founder took the hitmakers to task for their silence about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.
“Has anyone noticed that the most famous Jewish person on Earth, Drake, and the most famous Palestinian person on Earth, DJ Khaled, haven’t said a single thing about the Gaza-Israel conflict?” he wrote.

Drake, whose mother is Jewish, drew the ire of Vlad for devoting his attention to a back-and-forth feud with Joe Budden for criticizing All for the Dogs while keeping mum about the war that has claimed over 2,000 lives so far.
“He’s been writing paragraphs about Joe Budden hurting his feelings about his new album,” he continued.
According to Vlad, DJ Khaled, whose parents immigrated to New Orleans from Palestine before giving birth to the God Did architect, is too concerned with a brand deal to address the situation.
“DJ Khaled has been working overtime promoting his new Jordan sneakers,” Vlad added.
The former mixtape DJ suggested that the reason for “Popstar” partners “are so thirsty to maintain their relevance that they wouldn’t dare risk insulting a segment of their fanbase.”
“Heaven forbid that Drake might debut at #2 behind Taylor Swift because some of his Palestinian fans chose to not stream his album. And it would be the end of the world if Khaled sold a few less sneakers because some Jewish people decided not to buy his Jordans,” Vlad rhetorically asked.
According to Vlad, the hesitance to “speak out about something so close to home” is what separates the “artists of today and timeless legends like 2Pac.”
So far, neither Drake nor DJ Khaled have responded to Vlad. However, Vlad did respond to backlash for his post on the No Jumper Instagram page by commenting, “I said what I said.”
