Dana White Says Musk Vs. Zuckerberg ‘Probably Not’ Happening

After preemptively promoting a mixed martial arts bout between tech billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, UFC president Dana White cast doubt on the proposed contest ever coming to fruition.

While appearing on the OutKick The Morning show to promote Saturday night’s UFC 293, White was asked about the likelihood of the much-talked-about fight happening, to which he replied.

“I never say never, but probably not,” he said.

If the matchup doesn’t become a reality, White sees a huge missed opportunity on multiple fronts.

“I think that thing would do a billion dollars in revenue, and they wanted 90 percent of the money to go to charity. It would have been the biggest charity event ever held in history, especially for one night. It would have helped a lot of people” White said.

Since Musk and Zuckerberg got into a seemingly playful spat on X, the talk escalated to a fight challenge. Since then, White has offered the services of the world-leading MMA promotion that he has headed since 2001. The UFC even sold t-shirts advertising the clash between the Meta boss and his X counterpart.

Multiple top level fighters including current champions Jon Jones, Israel Adesanya, and Alexander Volkanovski volunteered to assist the recreational martial artists with preparations.

Despite the enthusiasm, doubt has been cast repeatedly as the two have disagreed over potential dates, venues, and broadcast partners.
