Charlamagne Tha God Says Colin Kaepernick’s Letter to NY Jets Is ‘Down Right Pathetic’

The Breakfast Club host isn’t here for Colin Kaepernick’s latest “attempt” to rejoin the NFL!

Charlamagne Tha God blasted Kaepernick after the 35-year-old wrote a letter to the New York Jets, asking for a shot to become a practice team member.

“It’s tragically said and down right pathetic that Colin Kapernick wrote that letter,” the radio show host said. “He has let his setbacks become his identity. God has exalted Colin Kaepernick into a position of leadership in regards to activism and it pains me to see him begging to be in a league that he compared to a plantation.”

In the written letter, Kaepernick highlighted his abilities and outstanding skillset he can bring to the table for the team’s defense.

Rap sensation, J. Cole also convinced Kaepernick to allow him to share the letter to further get the Jets’ attention through social media.

“I asked Colin @kaepernick7 if I could share this letter with the world,” the rapper wrote. “He was reluctant. My argument was that I believe the people and all organizations should know the truth about how hard he works and how much he still wants to play. And always has. In the end, he agreed to let me.”

“I wish the @nyjets organization luck. My boy @bas is a big ass fan so I saw the heartbreak of every Jets fan when Arod went down @richeisen Everyone from players, to coaches, to execs are feeling the pressure I’m sure. I hope y’all can turn it around, and I hope there’s a spot out there for my boy Kap. PEACE”

Charlamagne further criticized the blackballed quarterback for “not speaking up for himself”, and allowed J. Cole to speak for him.

“I hate that he can never speak for himself,” CTG exclaimed. “He always has someone speaking for him or putting out a message for him and that’s so wack to me. I wish Colin the best in all his endeavors but this begging the same people he called racist for an opportunity is absolutely pitiful to me.”

Kaepernick’s 2017 contract with the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t renewed, which left him to become a free agent.

However, after he became a free agent, no team would sign him, essentially blackballing him/punishing him for his firm stance against police brutality.
