Timothy Leeks, also known as Lul Timm, is no longer charged with the murder of King Von.
“The case against Mr. Leeks was dismissed prior to ever being indicted,” Leeks’ attorney Noah Pines said, in a statement provided to XXL.
King Von was shot and killed after a physical altercation with Quando Rondo and his crew outside of a downtown Atlanta lounge. The altercation escalated into a shootout on Nov. 6, 2020. Police officers, who were working as security at the venue, opened fire as well. Two others were killed, and three people, including Lul Timm, were injured.
The Atlanta Police Department arrested Leeks and charged him with felony murder soon afterward. The Savannah, Georgia, rapper remained in custody until March of 2021 after posting a $100,000 bond.
A YouTuber named Mickey Truth confirmed that the charges were thrown out on June 5 after the district attorney’s office “declined to prosecute.” While self-defense in the Stand Your Ground state is the speculated reason, that hasn’t been verified.
