Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, is now explaining her recent controversial statement, saying that her son and his ex-girlfriend/mother of his youngest child could be “cousins.”
On Wednesday, Saffold told TMZ that she has extended family with the last name Dorsey and discovered that was ChriseanRock’s mother’s maiden name.
“Well, I mean, I did some research with my family, you know. Her mom is a Dorsey,” she explained. “And I got some Dorseys, a lot of Dorseys. I’m from Warren, Ohio, and did some research, and it looks like turns out that maybe we’re not cousins, but we should definitely probably do some DNA just to find out what’s going on.”
After the Zeus stars gave birth to her and Blueface’s son, named Chrisean Malone Jr., Saffold held an Instagram live and alleged that her son and Rock were cousins.
“I knew something was going on,” she said. “Come to find out, Chrisean’s mama is a Dorsey. She’s a Dorsey. They related to me. Them my people. Girl, if them Dorseys…Dorseys. Come on now, all the Dorseys are related, and they all act like that. They all strong and act like that. John done had a baby with his cousin.”
After clarifying and acknowledging that the former couple aren’t related, she criticized the new mother for Blueface missing the birth of his youngest child despite partying with Jaidyn Alexis, the mother of his two oldest children and current girlfriend.
“What you,” she asked, pointing to the Los Angeles rapper’s brother, Dre, for a response. “This is his brother, Dre. I absolutely think that, um, yeah, one thing you cannot take from my kids is that they are great parents. I think, um, this is really, really hurting him not to be able to be there with the baby right now. Um, I think it’s real selfish of her, the way she’s going about it.”
She explained that she understands that women go through hormonal changes and suggested mothers want the child’s father present during the delivery process. However, she acknowledged that her 26-year-old son is in a committed relationship with Jaidyn and has two children with her. She also said that he has a responsibility to his older children.
However, Saffold wasn’t done criticizing Rock. She blasted the new mother over her grandson’s name, Chrisean Malone Jr.
“I think that she definitely probably did some last-minute vengeance,” she explained. “And that really sucks because he was looking forward to having a junior.”
Saffold and Rock had a history of a challenging relationship. According to Bossip, the 23-year-old reality star attacked Saffold and her daughter, and footage from the attack leaked online.
Saffold is reportedly working on a reality family-based show that will focus on her and her family. According to TMZ, the series called CixoT.
