Blueface was in court before Judge Kathleen E. Delaney for charges from a shooting on Oct. 8, 2022. The judge sentenced Blueface, whose birth name is Johnathan Porter, to three years of probation.
The rapper was first charged with attempted murder, but the judge showed him leniency and lowered his charges. Blueface was arrested for allegedly shooting Kentavious Traylor; reports said a bullet grazed his left hand. However, Judge Delaney showed him mercy by giving him probation for battery and discharging a firearm in an occupied structure.
“If you get [caught] back here on any probation violation, especially anything involving a weapon, I will not hesitate to put you in prison for a significant period of time,” Judge Delaney told Blueface.
Mr. Porter accepted a plea deal on Oct. 2 and now will face three years of probation, appointed at his sentencing. Blueface is no longer allowed on the Las Vegas Strip unless he is there for media and work.
“He can only be in those areas if he has work applications or any legitimate basis to be there, not as a pastime,” the judge said.
If Blueface violates his probation, they will make him serve five years in prison. Blueface cannot use drugs, drink alcohol, or contact alleged victim Kentavious Traylor.
The conflict started when Traylor commented on the car Blue was driving, and rapper Blueface allegedly shot him. In a now-viral video, you see Traylor lecturing the judge on her decision to give him probation instead of prison time.
Traylor thought he deserved more time for his actions than he was given. He felt the judge showed him mercy because he was a celebrity, and others would get years for the crime.
