After his tragic death, the late actor Angus Cloud did not leave a suicide note.
The Euphoria actor did not leave a suicide note for loved ones, according to TMZ, citing numerous law enforcement officials involved in the death investigation, which the publication claims is additional proof that Cloud died from an accidental overdose.
“Friends, I want you all to know I appreciate your love for my family at this shattered time. I also want you to know that although my son was in deep grief about his father’s untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one,” Cloud’s mother, Lisa said via a Facebook post.
Angus Cloud’s mom took to her Facebook and shared details that led her to believe his overdose was accidental.

While the cause of the young actor’s death remains undisclosed, it was noted that Angus’ father had been buried the week before, and the family’s initial statement acknowledged he had been open about his struggle with mental health.
From there, speculation emerged that Angus may have committed suicide since he was mourning his father.
“Social media posts have suggested his death was intentional. I want you to know that is not the case,” his mother said.
“I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art project’s, fell asleep and didn’t wake up,” she continued. “We may find out that he overdosed accidentally and tragically, but it’s abundantly clear that he did not intend to check out of this world.”
As ET previously reported, Lisa called 911 at around 11:30 a.m. to report a “possible overdose,” stating that her son had no pulse.
Once authorities arrived at the scene, he was declared dead.
“The Oakland Police Department is investigating a death that occurred today, July 31, 2023, just after 11:30 a.m. PT,” stated the Oakland Police Department. “The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of death is unknown. There’s no additional information being released at this time. This is an active death investigation.”
“This morning, at roughly 11:30 a.m., Oakland Fire was dispatched… for a medical emergency,” the Oakland Fire Department continued in a separate statement to ET. “The patient was found to be already dead when Fire EMS personnel arrived. The police and coroner were given custody of the body in accordance with protocol. The death’s cause is unknown. The Fire Department has no additional information at this time.”
