The Tate brothers are the latest big names to slam the beloved video game franchise!
As Rockstar Games released the highly anticipated trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, fanatics have shared their excitement for the upcoming video game. However, during a recent episode of the Tate Brothers podcast, Andrew and Tristan Tate revealed that they aren’t fans of the trailer or the overall premise of the Grand Theft Auto series.
“New GTA 6 is out. If you ever played the new GTA, this is a totally new question; I never played,” Andrew said, kicking off the segment.
As Andrew posed the question during the Rumble stream, his brother, Tristan, shared his thoughts on the video game series.
“I believe that I played the first one,” Tristan said.
“That’s like a top-down, bird’s eye view kind of 2D game, without any real graphic violence back when I was 10 or 11, or 12. Whenever it came out. I do recall that, but you know what? I wanna speak about GTA 6,” he continued.

The 35-year-old controversial Internet personality continued to share his views by stating that he didn’t believe all video games are “evil,” however, he did condemn Grand Theft Auto’s premise of car theft, violence, and other crimes in the games’ storyboard.
He also revealed that he isn’t a fan of anyone under the age of 18 or even 21 shouldn’t play the violent game.
”I’m not a fan of anyone under the age of 18, 21 maybe, playing video games where the goal is to shoot police officers, “Tristan said.
“I feel like they could put a better objective into these games,” he explained.
“Maybe you are a police officer; maybe you are trying to stop criminals,” he added.
As the Tate brothers’ opinions surrounding the Grand Theft Auto series made its rounds on social media, fans, in return, slammed them.
Many fans joked about the Tate brothers’ misunderstanding of the M-rated video game series and even explained that shooting police isn’t the premise of the game.
Others brought up the fact that the Tate brothers’ recent arrests as they were hit with human trafficking charges and accused of other crimes.
They weren’t the only ones who slammed GTA 6. Earlier this week, X owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared that he wasn’t a fan of the beloved video game franchise for the same reason.
As GTA fans wait for GTA 6’s release, Netflix recently announced that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy The Definitive Edition, which features GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, will be available on Netflix Games.
