Allen Iverson Congratulates Post Malone On ‘White Iverson’ Milestone

NBA legend Allen Iverson gave kudos to Post Malone for reaching a new milestone with his song “White Iverson.”

The debut single that catapulted Post Malone to becoming a music sensation has now surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. One of the things that made this single so interesting was the comparison to the sports icon, AI.

In a video Spotify shared on Youtube, highlighting Post Malone’s success with the popular 2015 track “Joining the Billions Club,” Iverson himself congratulated the rapper on this feat.

“Congrats on 1 billion Spotify streams. The whole world loves this song and I’m honored to be a part of it. “Keep that same form, Post,” the former Philadelphia 76ers star said in his congratulatory message.

This marks the 10th song by the 28-year-old rapper to surpass 1 billion streams on the streaming service.

“It feels super cool that the song does connect with people, and I’m just happy to bring joy into anyone’s life when I can,” Malone said about his breakthrough single.

“It’s an amazing feeling for me, and that really gave me the confidence and the courage to keep attempting to do what I love. I just appreciate all the support, and it’s the most beautiful feeling in the world for me. Thank you.”

Just last month Malone released his latest album, “Austin.” His latest effort debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 and is his fifth top 10 album.
