The Savage Mode II rapper almost got into a fight outside of his 31st birthday party!
All hell almost broke loose during 21 Savage’s 31st birthday party on Saturday, Oct. 21. As the rapper celebrated his birthday at the Underground Atlanta, things went left after he and his crew were outside.
According to XXL, a man who looks to be handling event security is backed down by 21 and his crew in one video. The man is rushed by the group and goes into a combat stance before backing down. 21 Savage and his group leave the area after further heated exchanges.
Things cooled down after 21 Savage was removed from the scene by his crew. His cousin Young Nudy was also seen in the distance, according to HipHopDx.
The footage went viral on social media, and a rumor that 21 Savage wanted to fight the security guard began to swirl.
As the video went viral online, 21 Savage addressed the rumor that he wanted to fight the security guard through an Instagram story.
“Why is yall dragging a video of me stopping a fight and twisting it into what yall want it to be,” he wrote. “Who wants to fight on their birthday?”
After 21 Savage was removed from the scene, violence broke out again. In a separate video, a man was seen getting stomped out by a group of men. The security guard that almost fought 21 Savage stepped in and pepper sprayed the group of men.
The GRAMMY-winning rapper also became a permanent citizen of the United States on Oct. 7, after years of battling immigration issues.
“She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph followed all applicable Immigration laws since his initial detention by ICE,” Charles H. Kuck, 21 Savage’s representative said.
He announced that he will be performing internationally, and added international tour dates to his upcoming homecoming tour.
